How to Write a Science Fair Project Report Writing a science fair project report may seem like a challenging task, but it is not as difficult as it first appears. This is a format that you may use to write a science project report. If your project included animals, humans, hazardous materials, or regulated substances, you can attach an appendix that describes any special activities your project required. Also, some reports may benefit from additional sections, such as abstracts and bibliographies. You may find it helpful to fill out the science fair lab report template to prepare your report. Important: Some science fairs have guidelines put forth by the science fair committee or an instructor. If your science fair has these guidelines, be sure to follow them. Title:  For a science fair, you probably want a catchy, clever title. Otherwise, try to make it an accurate description of the project. For example, I could entitle a project, Determining Minimum NaCl Concentration That Can Be Tasted in Water.  Avoid unnecessary words, while covering the essential purpose of the project. Whatever title you come up with, get it critiqued by friends, family, or teachers.Introduction and Purpose:  Sometimes this section is called background. Whatever its name, this section introduces the topic of the project, notes any information already available, explains why you are interested in the project, and states the purpose of the project. If you are going to state references in your report, this is where most of the citations are likely to be, with the actual references listed at the end of the entire report in the form of a bibliography or reference section.The Hypothesis or Question:  Explicitly state your hypothesis or question.Materials and Meth ods:  List the materials you used in your project and describe the procedure that you used to perform the project. If you have a photo or diagram of your project, this is a good place to include it. Data and Results:  Data and results are not the same things. Some reports will require that they be in separate sections, so make sure you understand the difference between the concepts. Data refers to the actual numbers or other information you obtained in your project. Data can be presented in tables or charts, if appropriate. The results section is where the data is manipulated or the hypothesis is tested. Sometimes this analysis will yield tables, graphs, or charts, too. For example, a table listing the minimum concentration of salt that I can taste in water, with each line in the table being a separate test or trial, would be data. If I average the data or perform a statistical test of a null hypothesis, the information would be the results of the project.Conclusion:  The conclusion focuses on the hypothesis or  question as it compares to the data and results. What was the answer to the question? Was the hypothesis supported (keep in mind a hypothesis cannot be proved, onl y disproved)? What did you find out from the experiment? Answer these questions first. Then, depending on your answers, you may wish to explain the ways in which the project might be improved or introduce new questions that have come up as a result of the project. This section is judged not only by what you were able to conclude  but also by your recognition of areas where you could not draw valid conclusions based on your data. Appearances Matter Neatness counts, spelling counts, grammar counts. Take the time to make the report look nice. Pay attention to margins, avoid fonts that are difficult to read or are too small or too large, use clean paper, and make print the report cleanly on as good a printer or copier as you can.

This paper seeks to determine whether this approach is able to provide a single unifying thread common to all forms of working class culture which would help greatly in understanding its nature and form. Class experiences in literature and soccer are explored and analyzed on whether they shed light on the working class phenomenon. Can we find working class identity in the portrayals contained in literature? Working class identity is often associated with a person’s economic condition. Members of the working class are said to be those who produce the enormous wealth of capitalists and of nations but received only a small part of that wealth as wages. As Arbor (1994) had put it, they are the workers (slave, free, immigrants, locals, men and women) who share a common place of production with little control over the pace, content and products of their work and are not anyone’s boss. Working class culture and its members are considered almost diametrically opposed to high culture associated with the elite. Nonetheless, confining working class identity to economic conditions is limited as it also includes lived experiences, expectations, legacies and set of relationships. In retrospect, one cannot establish find a single discreet identity in working class culture but would instead find an uneasy and unstable amalgam of hybrid and fluid multiple identities. Working class literature and soccer involvement serves to illuminate those experiences, relationships and diversity by revealing the intricate world of class experience as it is lived by working class people. Peace Negotiations Between Arafat and Clinton Many third world and communist countries are known for their censorship in the media, ranging from television, radio, and the newspapers. Even with these shortcomings they still are able to present a side of an issue. The capitalistic world can dominate the networks of the media as well and also provide certain amounts of censorship with only one side of a view. The way the capitalistic world is able to dominate the media is by advertisement. Commercials and advertisements drive and pay for the expenses of the news reporting agency or any other media. A company will not sponsor a television network or a newspaper if their stories and ideas do not reflect that of the sponsor. For example if a company is owned and operated mostly by Jews, that company may not appreciate a newspaper or a television station to report against them or point out that many mistakes, such as accidental bombings and killings of innocent by standers not only Philistines but Israelis as well, were caused by Jews. If that newspaper or television station reports against Jews or the supporters of Israel they will not be endorsed or sponsored by that Jewish company, and if that newspaper or television station does not receive any support they cannot publish anymore papers or broadcast their newscasts. In both cases important sides of an issue are either addressed or not. The western coverage of the peace negotiations between Arafat and President Clinton by the news media distorts and deletes facts only to ensure that Israel, the United States ally, will benefit. My latest readings of the Seattle Times and one of Tehran’s newspaper dealt with Mr. Arafat’s visit to the United States to speak with President Clinton in the White House about the Mid-East peace process. Both papers presented facts and expanded as well on some of those facts. When reading the Seattle Times, the article’s title read, â€Å"Peace deal with Arafat†, the title its self it’s letting us know that we have to deal with Mr. Arafat, that he must be a hard negotiator. The article discussed how Mr. Arafat did not accept or totally agree with President Clintons peace plan. The Times made it clear that President Clinton’s plan was detailed and accepted by both the United States and the Israelis.

Racial Discrimination Essay

There was a time in the United States of America when white Americans and African Americans were separated through a hierarchy. With the white Americans on top and the African Americans as slaves. This lead to what was recorded in history, the American Civil war where people fought to their death for equal rights. Also in recorded history was the invasion of the Spaniards in the Philippines for 333 years. People have fought and died for our country to be free and independent. And yet, it feels like not all their efforts have reached the world. That is because our world is not free from racial discrimination. Why do people discriminate different races? Are we really so different from others that we have to be looked down upon? Just because we are not white, we are already as low as dirt? Just because we don’t look the same or speak the same language or have the same culture, we are already lower creatures? Last time I checked God didn’t create the different races. He created only one race; humans. All with the same two eyes, two ears, a nose, a mouth, hair, skin, two feet-each with five toes, two hands-each with five fingers and a heart that beats life. We all speak a language. We all have cultures. We all need a roof on our heads, clothes to wear and food on our table. We are all born the same way and in the end, we will all die. Is that so hard to accept?

Enzyme Functions And How The Temperature Of The Reaction...

Unit 4 - Starch Synthesis In this lab, I tested in which conditions starch synthesis will take place and how the temperature of the reaction mixture influences starch synthesis. My main goal for this experiment is to learn about the basic principles of enzyme functions, and how their environment around them can influence them. Hypotheses: I hypothesized that glucose would give off the most starch, compared to the other solutions, and I also predict that the room temperature test tubes would be the most efficient at synthesizing the starch. My null hypothesis was that none of the solutions would have an effect on the starch synthesis. Also, the temperature of the solution would not have an effect on the starch synthesis. Both of these†¦show more content†¦We placed the 2 plastic centrifuges in the centrifuge, which spun the solution for 3 minutes at 6000 rotations per minute (rpm). We then poured the upper layer liquid (supernatant) from both the plastic centrifuges into a clean beaker, leaving the white pellet in the plastic centrifuges. Then, we removed a small amount of the solution from the beaker, and placed it in the spot plate, adding a drop of iodine. By adding the iodine, it would tell me if the starch was present or not. Given that the solution did not turn blue or black, we can say that the s olution tested negative, indicating starch was not present. We then put the test tube E’s in their perspective hot water bath, one in each of the following; 40â„Æ', 60â„Æ', and 80â„Æ' for about 10 minutes. After taking out all of our test tube E’s, we added 30 drops of starch-free enzyme extract (the solution that we just tested), from the beaker to all of the test tubes (all 8). We mixed all of the solutions by hand, where we then added a small drop of soluble starch to each test tube, that we also mixed by hand. Next, to test the solutions/contents, to see if starch was present, set up my spot plate so that it would be organized to conduct the experiment. We did this by taking tape and labeling the left side of the spot plate, with letters of the test tubes that would be tested.
